1. Overview

MarketIQ ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

The short version: We collect almost nothing. Your progress data stays on your device. We don't sell data to anyone.

2. Information We Collect

2a. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage) and is never transmitted to our servers:

• Replay scores and history
• Rank and XP progression
• Weekly replay count
• Onboarding completion status
• App preferences

This data is deleted if you uninstall the App or clear its storage. We cannot recover this data for you.

2b. Subscription Data

If you purchase a Pro subscription, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We use RevenueCat as a subscription management service, which receives:

• An anonymous user identifier (no name or email)
• Subscription status (active, expired, trial)
• Purchase dates and product identifiers

We do not receive or store your name, email address, payment method, or billing details. Apple and Google handle all payment processing.

2c. Data We Do NOT Collect

We want to be explicit about what we don't collect:

• No names or email addresses
• No location data
• No contacts or phone data
• No photos, camera, or microphone access
• No advertising identifiers or tracking
• No analytics or usage telemetry
• No data shared with third-party advertisers

3. How We Use Information

The only data that leaves your device is anonymous subscription status via RevenueCat, used solely to:

• Verify your Pro subscription status
• Manage subscription lifecycle (renewals, cancellations, trials)
• Process restore purchases requests

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• RevenueCat — Subscription management. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
• Apple App Store / Google Play Store — Payment processing, governed by their respective privacy policies

We do not use any analytics services, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We do not share data with advertisers. The only data shared is anonymous subscription status with RevenueCat as described above.

6. Data Retention

Local data is retained on your device until you delete the App or clear its storage. RevenueCat retains anonymous subscription records per their data retention policy.

7. Children's Privacy

MarketIQ is not directed at children under 17. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child under 17 is using the App, please contact us.

8. Your Rights

Since we store nearly all data locally on your device, you have full control:

• Access: Your data is on your device — you can see your scores and progress in the App
• Deletion: Uninstall the App or clear its storage to delete all local data
• Subscription data: Contact us at support@mktiq.app to request deletion of your anonymous RevenueCat record

9. Security

Your progress data is stored locally and never transmitted over the network. Subscription transactions are secured by Apple and Google's payment infrastructure. We take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we handle.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
